Your trips to and from the grocery store may emit more than transporting the food you buy from where it was produced to the store. This isn’t always true, but an SUV carrying a single bag of groceries gets far fewer milk-miles per gallon than a fully loaded 18-wheeler. Shopping no more than once or twice a week will also save you time and keep your fridge full, helping it run more efficiently.
