Between a quarter and a half of all US food is wasted. Leaving food to languish until it goes off is just as bad as throwing it straight in the trash. Instead of deciding on a recipe and then making a shopping list, try looking in the fridge and pantry and then choosing a recipe that suits. You’ll save money and trips to the grocery store. Once you’ve developed a repertoire of leftover-based recipes, you’ll come to cherish them as tasty time savers.
