That can of chickpeas in the pantry, that mystery meat in the freezer, that box of pancake mix in the back of the cupboard. We’ve all got those foods that have been lurking in our kitchen storage and not getting used… well, eat them! Using up all those randoms in your kitchen will save you storage space, it will save you the time and expense of an extra trip to the store, and it will likely be an exciting adventure! Plus, using the food you’ve found in your kitchen makes use of the energy that went into producing it — energy that would be wasted if the food were tossed or left to lurk another year.
How do you incorporate “found” ingredients into your cooking?
