A typical main sequence star (e.g. the sun) is powered by nuclear fusion, lasts 10 billion years, is free, and is carbon neutral.
Open the shutters, clear the vines off the skylight, turn out the lights, and sit by the window. Or if you can, why not do your business outside? In addition to being better for your pocketbook and your carbon footprint, natural light improves your mood and provides the almighty vitamin D.
